Journey to Edge is a collection of multiple level of experiential design experiences. From the first floor of the building, to all the way to the top, it surrounds you with a unique experience, a story. Every zone tells you a different side of New York, Hudson Yards neighborhood and how it developed over years. We were responsible to design the experiences of Zone 1 and Zone 4.
Zone 1 was all about history of landmarks of New York such as Central Park, Rockefeller Building, Soho, Lower Manhattan and how Hudson Yards becomes the new iconic neighborhood of New York. So we created this horizontal surrounding story with a timeline attached to it that takes you from how it was before to how it is now. It takes you to a time travel experience.
Zone 4 had a different story, it was all about telling what Hudson Yards is about, it is about people, architecture, nature and a one of a kind dining and retail experience. So in this very uniquely installed array of screens, we created a multi-screen story telling approach to hit those themes.
